    LEONVILLE - Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Adelphina "Fena" Fitzgerald, age 93, the former Adelphina Stelly, who passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.

    Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Mausoleum in Leonville. The Rev. Ken Domingue, pastor of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

    Mrs. Fitzgerald was a native of Grand Coteau and a resident of Leonville, having lived in St. Landry Parish all of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. Mrs. Fitzgerald was an avid gardener and enjoyed raising chickens. She was a wonderful cook and baker, her specialties were blackberry pies and gingerbread. In her earlier years, Mrs. Fitzgerald enjoyed camping with her husband and crabbing at Holly Beach and Grand Isle.

    Survivors include two daughters, Lena Stelly and her husband, Earl, and Rose Lalonde and her husband, Yves, all of Leonville; one son, Michael Fitzgerald of Livonia; six grandchildren, Bryan Stelly and his wife, Belinda, Carl Stelly and his wife, Tammy, Kevin Stelly and his wife, Arlene, Dana Kelley and her husband, Chuck, Stacy Bordelon and her husband, Lane and Brady Lalonde and his wife, Lindsey; twelve great grandchildren; and seven great, great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Fitzgerald; first husband, Neff J. Robin; her parents, Valmont and Louise Stelly, both natives of Grand Coteau; one son, Nelson Robin; three brothers, John Stelly, Elie Stelly and Numa Stelly; and four sisters, Bernice Speyrer, Georgie Stevens, Louise Latiolais and Julia Benoit.

    A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

    The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

    Pallbearers will be Bryson Lalonde, Matthew Stelly, Kevin Stelly, Chuck Kelley, Lane Bordelon and Alex Bordelon. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Stelly, Earl Stelly and Yves Lalonde.
