    OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Louanna Gallien, 84, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Region Medical Center of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Lawtell, LA. Rev. Jaison Mangalath S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.

    Mrs. Gallien grew up in Lawtell and Opelousas, Louisiana. She is survived by her children Henrietta Moore (Patrick), Debra Moses, Shirley Davis, Pamela Darbone (Xavier), Gustavia Lavergne (Larry), and Sarah Gallien (Xavier-Ray-fiancé); one daughter-in-law, Rose Gallien; one brother, Melvin Portier, one brother-in-law, Phillip Joseph, two godchildren, Lee Portier and Brian Keith Guillory and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. Mrs. Gallien was proceeded in death by her husband, Joseph Gallien, a son, Hayward Charles Gallien, her parents, Martin Portier and Armenia Richard Portier, one sister, Margaret Joseph, one grand baby, Angel, grandson Johnathon Wayne Moore, and one sister-in-law Elvenia Chenier Portier.

    Visiting hours will be observed from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home and will continue from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 15, 2014.
