      December 14, 1936 - January 13, 2017
      PORT BARRE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Marion Stelly announces his passing on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 80. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 15 at 2:00 PM at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Burial will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery in Leonville with Pastor Chad Bolfa officiating services.
      Pallbearers for the service will be Chad Stelly, Sr., Chad Stelly, Jr., Zackery Stelly, John Matt, Gary Stelly, and Toby Deshotel.
      Marion proudly served his country in the United States Army. He lived life to its fullest and enjoyed crawfishing, selling fireworks, traveling, and going to festivals. But his favorite activity was that of spending time with his family, especially with his grandsons.
      Marion will be greatly missed by his three sons Elvis Stelly and spouse Rueben McClanahan of West Monroe, Dale Stelly of Eunice, and Chad Stelly, Sr. of Port Barre. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his grandsons Chad Stelly, Jr. and Zackery Stelly.
      Marion now rests with his parents Dieu and Celine Doucet Stelly, granddaughter Alexis Stelly, two brothers, and four sisters.
      At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre on Saturday, January 14 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Sunday, January 15 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
      In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
